How to Draw a Squirrel Running Up a Tree

Is there anything cuter than squirrels running up and down trees in the fall?!
It's a quintessential sign of fall in our minds, so we made this easy squirrel craft for kids to get ready for the change of seasons!
This paper squirrel is easy to create and comes with a free printable template which makes it great for making not only at home but at school, daycare, or even for library storytime.

Easy Paper Squirrel
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper (in shades of brown, orange, gray and black)
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Squirrel template (download form located at the end of this post)

Directions
Download the squirrel template, print, and cut out the pieces.
Take the top part of the squirrel's head and glue it to the base part of the squirrel's head.
Glue the inner ears to the head piece. Next, glue the eyes just below the arch of the squirrel's face. Finish the face by gluing the squirrel's nose just above the mouth line.
Place the completed head on top of the squirrel's body and glue in place.
Position the tail of the squirrel to the left of the body and head and glue in place behind the squirrel.
Arrange the left leg in front of the body and the right leg behind the body, like in the picture below and glue in place.
Place the arms, one on each side, just above the legs and glue to secure. Cut a small tooth from white paper and glue just below the mouth.
Admire your cute squirrel craft!
